January 01, 1996

(thankless the phalanx of)

thankless the phalanx of
slivverized moon
silverized spoon in the mouth of the clouds
shrouded, the cavernous
negative space
the moon more & more
with shadowed face

Rain fails to fall
not for gravity's sake—
the lack of a chemistry taking the space—

of easiness glow,
         contentedly slow,
eking her tentative halo.

(as the lonely talker walking lonely)

as the lonely talker walking lonely:
only lovely rambling ends the hungry roving
rather rather rolling eyes
defy the mind from falling fixed
the roving eyes, a catalyst
to keep the form from forming
the whole maintains its storming
warning lonely talkers walking only—only slowly.
